4th Eco-Friendly Fashion Show
The 4th Annual Eco-Friendly Fashion Show was the most amazing Fashion Show held at TYWLS of Astoria. More than 30 girls participated to make this show possible and remarkable.
A group of 8th and 9th grade students created short films using iMovie to raise environmental awareness. They also created an animation to open the show.
The tickets and flyers were created by different 9th grade students using Photoshop. Even though, we only picked one of these invitations to be the official ticket, all of them were truly creative and original works of art that demonstrated the passion that the students have for this event.
This year our school gym became a candy land. Gingerbread men greeted the audience. Giant cupcakes, candy canes, lollipops and peppermint candies transformed the place. Enlarged Hershey Kisses marked the runway to extend the path out of our candyland.Ninety models with their incredible ninety recycled dresses took over the candy land display. The place was full of awareness, creativity, imagination, energy, sweetness and passion. This show has united our community. You have to see it with your own eyes to believe what teenagers could do when they are unified by a cause they believe in. Amazing things could be created by young ones.
