During the summer, there was a two week preparation bootcamp for the technology interns. In addition to the various programs they learned, the interns also managed to create their own blogs. As the school year began, the interns had to decide what technological field they wanted to further explore and challenge their talents. Each intern developed a curriculum that was taught during the two weeks of Intensives. One of the interns, Tiffany Tapia, took it upon herself to further develop the iBlog curriculum based on her blogging experience to later teach it during Intensives.
Through this intensive, four juniors were able to write about their accomplishments and challenges they have experienced through their high school careers in TYWLS of Astoria and in the real world. It was with the help of web 2.0 tools and other technology tools such as Picasion, Prezi and iMovie, that they could share their story in a creatively manner. Their blogs do not only voice the students' personality, but also helped them reflect what goals they needed to establish for their future.
